'Stranger Things' Favorite Barb Gets an Emmy Nomination

Perhaps the biggest shock from this year's Emmy nominations announcement was the outstanding guest actress in a drama series nom for Shannon Purser, the 20-year-old actress who played fan-favorite Barb on Netflix's Stranger Things.
The nomination is the first for Purser, whose character went viral last summer with the #justiceforbarb hashtag on Twitter. Despite only appearing in four of the series' eight episodes in season one, Purser's character resonated with fans for her quirky awkwardness and ultimate fate.
