Star-Studded 'The Butler' Adds 'True Blood' Actor to its Impressive Cast

Star-Studded 'The Butler' Adds 'True Blood' Actor to its Impressive Cast “The Butler” already has a list of big names under its belt, but now it’s adding “True Blood” star Nelsan Ellis to the cast.

The sexy actor has had a sprinkling of minor big-screen roles, including small roles in “The Help,” and “Secretariat,” but is most known for playing sassy and flamboyant Lafayette Reynolds on the bloody HBO series.

Ellis will be joining an impressive cast. Like, really impressive. This movie isn’t playing around, and clearly the film's budget is gonna be a big one if it can afford all these players.

“The Butler” has already signed on Liam Neeson, John Cusack, Nicole Kidman, Oprah Winfrey, Robin Williams, James Marsden, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, Liev Schrieber, Forest Whitaker, Terrance Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr.

You thought I was kidding. That’s not even the full cast, either; that’s just some of the heavyweights.

Strangely, despite the considerable talent and prestige amassed by the aforementioned stars, somehow Mariah Carey has also made the cut. While “Glitter” sensation Carey’s role is yet to be announced, I’ve staked my bets on “Vapid Bimbo Number Three,” or “Plant.”

While the role Ellis will be playing in “The Butler” remains to be announced, the movie, based on the life of a White House butler who served through eight American presidents, is already coming out of the gate strong, and the pressure is on for some pretty major performances on the part of the cast.

Although it would be more than entertaining to see Lafayette sashaying and “Oh, girl”ing his way through the White House, we’re expecting that this role will give Ellis the break into big screen drama the talented cutie deserves.

Just don’t forget to water Mariah.
