Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds' Divorce Finalized

Great news for all the single ladies (and gents), particularly those willing to dream the impossible dream.

After announcing that they were unexpectedly calling it quits just weeks before Christmas in December 2010, actors Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are officially divorced.

Ending their brief two year union after marrying in 2008, the Hollywood couple's divorce papers were finalized this past Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court after citing irreconcilable differences.

Although they have not opened up much about what went wrong, Johansson appeared to have moved on quickly from the couple's seperation with a short lived fling with Sean Penn, while the leading man of "Green Lantern" seemed heartbroken.

In a recent Details interview, Reynolds shared his sadness, and also told the media that he most likeley would never marry again.

"Anyone who gets divorced goes through a lot of pain, but you come out of it.  I'm not out of it yet. At all. But I sense that as I do come through it, there's optimism. How can there not be?"

Reynolds does seem to see a silver lining in his split from Johansson, when he added that "any kind of crisis can be good. It wakes you up. I gotta say, I'm a different person than I was six months ago."

The former celebrity duo may have had a bad run in their personal lives, but Reynolds and Johannson are both still going strong with their careers.  Reynolds will show up next in "The Change Up" and "R.I.P.D.," while Johansson is busy with both "The Avengers" and "We Bought a Zoo."
