'Sons of Anarchy' Season 5 Death Toll? 'Too Many to Count'

'Sons of Anarchy' Season 5 Death Toll? 'Too Many to Count' Season five of "Sons of Anarchy" might be the bloodiest yet. As if you needed another reason to be excited about it.

With the big premiere coming Tuesday night, Kurt Sutter and his cast have been doing some press here and there. In an interesting interview with THR, though, Sutter revealed that it's going to be tough for any character to make it to the end of this season. In fact, he guaranteed that some of the characters who appear in the first episode will be dead by the season five finale.

When asked how many characters will die this season, Sutter simply replied, "Too many to count." Sounds like the stakes are going to be a notch or two higher this year.

That doesn't bode particularly well for Jax, who has just stepped in as president of SAMCRO following Clay's somewhat forced resignation. Of course Jax is safe from biting the bullet, but clearly he's going to have to deal with some of his people dying on his watch, or some of his enemies dying by his hand.

"He really has had to watch Clay make so many mistakes over the years, and he’s really learned from those mistakes," said Hunnam. "I think one of the things he hadn’t anticipated was just how difficult it is to not make those mistakes."

"Sons of Anarchy" season five premieres Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10PM. For more on the struggles of the main players this season, check out the recent character promos.
