'Sons of Anarchy' Fans Get a Challenge from Kurt Sutter, with a Big Prize
by Andy NeuenschwanderTwitter has become a gold mine of goodies lately from the executive producers of some of TV's biggest shows. For the kids: some deleted scenes from "Glee," courtesy of Ryan Murphy. For the adults: the chance to meet "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter and watch a few episodes with him and the cast.
Sutter issued a challenge to his Twitter followers to help keep his show dominant in the cable ratings: if the ratings in the 18-49 demographic show any kind of increase in the season 5 premiere over last year, Sutter will give a prize to four of his Twitter followers.
The prize is this: four followers, chosen at random, will be flown out to California to watch an episode of "SOA" with Sutter and some of the cast members (and "a few of my closest birds," Sutter adds).
It might be difficult for fans to get the ratings up, considering that "SOA" set ratings records for FX in season four, holding the record for the network's most-watched show. A fact that Sutter notes still has him "semi-erect."
So there you have it, "SOA" fans. Follow Sutter on Twitter and do whatever you can to get people to watch the season premiere, and you might get to meet the gang. Try not to crack any skulls.
