So Who Is 'Gossip Girl?'

So Who Is 'Gossip Girl?' The end of an era is here—“Gossip Girl” has wrapped up.

Did you catch the final episode? Obviously the biggest bit of information we were all hoping for was finally revealed—the identity of Gossip Girl herself. So who was the catty lady sharpening her claws on New York’s elite?

Spoiler here.

It was Dan Humphrey.

Wait whaaat?

On the final episode Dan reveals that he took on the persona of Gossip Girl. As someone not born into society there, he struggled to find a niche. By writing about himself as Lonelyboy, he found a way to work himself into their social circles.

Kristen Bell makes her brief appearance as a teaser, along with Rachel Bilson, but not as you’d expect. Instead the two are reading for the film version of “Gossip Girl,” written, of course, by the now quite well-known Dan Humphrey.

And of course, Chuck and Blaire finally married! Also, flash forward… the two have a super cute, floppy-haired son named Henry.  Five years later, everyone is still happy!

Dan and Serena married as well, but they waited down the road to make it happen. No thunder-stealing from Blaire and Chuck!

Other cameos than Kristen Bell were made, of course.  Taylor Momsen came back, as Jenny Humphrey, and Kelly Rutherford Lily van der Woodson.

Mayor Bloomberg made a short appearance, Lisa Loeb showed up with Rufus.

Did you catch the finale episode of the series? What did you think of the big reveal… and will you miss the show now that Dan will no longer be writing his sassy commentaries?
