UPDATE: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith released an official statement this afternoon, saying, "Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact."

Original Story:

So it sounds like everything is okay in Smithville after all...but you have to wonder where a rumor like this started from.

Rumors are rumors, and can't always be trusted. But when a big rumor about a high-profile celebrity couple starts flying, it often stems from some level of truth.

So that means that there could be trouble in the Smith camp, as Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith are rumored to be splitting up.

The couple has been married for 13 years and have three children, two of whom we've come to know from their own forays into stardom: Jaden starred in the update of "The Karate Kid," and Willow had hit first hit song recently. trey is Will's first son from a previous marriage.

The news was first reported by In Touch Weekly, who claims to have received the information from an "insider" close to the family.

Of course, Jada's PR rep gave TMZ a really superior quote about the rumor:

"What? "In Touch" said that? I know nothing about this ... Lord. I'm going back to bed."

Another competing "insider" reportedly told Us Weekly the story is "100 percent not true...It's total bulls***."

We will bring you any updates as they come, so stay tuned.
