'Sleepy Hollow' Season 2 Trailer: Finally!
by Shannon KeirnanIt's about time!
The long-awaited (maybe it just felt too long?) trailer for season 2 of the surprise Fox hit, "Sleepy Hollow," is out, and it looks awesome.
"Sleepy Hollow" fans know that in the season 1 finale, we were left with all kinds of cliff hangers - obviously there are spoilers here for those that haven't watched the series.
Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) was stuck in Purgatory, having traded places with Katrina (Katia Winter).
Ichabod (Tom Minson), meanwhile, were buried alive by the Horseman of War... his own son, Jeremy (John Noble).
Katrina was captured by the Horseman of Death, aka the Headless Horseman, aka Abraham (Neil Jackson).
Abbie's sister Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) was seriously injured in a car crash caused by the Headless Horseman, and Captain Irving (Orlando Jones) was arrested for murder.
The trailer, "Evil Takes Hold," helps us review the dire straits that the world is in, as our heroes are all in trouble and the apocalypse is coming, while giving us a glimpse at what's to come.
At the "Sleepy Hollow" Comic-con panel, producers also revealed that there will be a new sheriff in town, making things more difficult for Abbie and Ichabod, who will "have a history with Abbie's mom." Other historical characters, like Benjamin Franklin and Benedict Arnold, will also make appearances.
As one of the most successful shows of last year, "Sleepy Hollow" is reportedly planning to bump up the season from 15 to 18 episodes. It returns to Fox September 22nd.
