The Situation's Family Feud with his Estranged Father

"The Situation" is dealing with a whole new kind of situation, as his estranged father has been attacking him publicly through online videos.

TMZ first released the videos, which feature Mike Sorrentino's father going off on angry tirades against his now-famous son, accusing the "Jersey Shore" star of leaving him to go on welfare.

It gets worse: Sorrentino's dad released another video claiming that Sitch got fired from some of his previous jobs because of sexual misconduct.

He goes on to claim that Sitch abandoned his family once he got famous, and reports say that the elder Sorrentino is attempting to sell the rights to a book about Mike.

The Situation released a statement, saying that he was "extremely saddened by his estranged father's actions," and notes that his other family members are supporting him "under these hurtful circumstances." Sitch might take legal action against his father as well.

There are always two sides to these stories, but usually when somebody starts making YouTube videos ranting and raving about his son after the kid starts making six figures per episode, he's a little bit suspect. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of The Situation, but here's hoping this one blows over quietly...and we don't see too much awkwardness in the next season because of it.
