'The Situation' of 'Jersey Shore' Arrested After Ironic Tanning Salon Brawl You can take the Jersey boy out of the Shore, but you can't take the Shore out of the Jersey boy.

Mike Sorrentino, known to fans of MTV's "Jersey Shore" as "The Situation" has been arrested by New Jersey police following a physical altercation, according to reports.

The charges are still pending, but Sorrentino is in police custody after the altercation, which took place in a tanning salon, surprising no one.

The tanning salon was one in the Boca Tanning Club chain, owned by Mike's family. Interestingly, the reports say that the fight broke out Tuesday afternoon around 2:00pm between Mike and his brother, Frank Sorrentino. That's according to TMZ, as the police have not identified anyone in the fight other than Mike.

Mike Sorrentino, now 31, was one of the original cast members of "Jersey Shore" and starred in every season. However, his behavior became somewhat erratic in later seasons, and it was later revealed that he was dealing with an opioid addiction and was sent to rehab.

After the six seasons of "Jersey Shore" were completed, Mike competed on season 11 of "Dancing with the Stars." He's set to star in a new reality show on the TV Guide Network titled "The Sorrentinos," which will focus on his family. It would seem that they already have some drama set up for the cameras.
