Sit In On Prince William and Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding on BBC America

Sit In On Prince William and Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding on BBC America If you didn't get an invite to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, don't be too upset: the Obamas didn't get one either, apparently (but the Beckhams did!).

Fortunately for you, the BBC has announced that their flagship BBC1's coverage of the wedding will be broadcast all over the world on international BBC channels, including BBC America.

So, you will be able to dress yourself up in a fancy suit and tie, serve yourself some hors d'oeuvres, sit in your living room and pretend you're really there. A 3D television would help the experience as well, I'm sure.

The wedding day (or perhaps even the wedding week) will be filled with special features and documentaries on the royal family, commentary by analysts and experts, and exclusive coverage at all points of the wedding. BBC news man Huw Edwards is set to host the coverage.

The BBC has covered and internationally broadcast a number of high-profile events in the past, but it's likely that few of them if any will match the viewership of this royal wedding: the event is estimated to bring in 2.5 billion viewers worldwide.

The royal wedding is planned for April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London.

I'm sure the lovely couple would have invited all 2.5 billion to the wedding, but there simply aren't enough chairs.
