by Andy Neuenschwander"American Horror Story" is about to get a little more musical!
Singer Patti LaBelle, perhaps most famous for her early disco hit "Lady Marmalade," has officially joined the cast of "American Horror Story: Freakshow."
According to reports, LaBelle will play Gaboure Sidibe's mother, a regular townsperson who learns some dark secrets about Twisty, the season's serial killer clown. We're guessing those are secrets one doesn't want to know about.
LaBelle joins a growing cast for the upcoming season, which will be placed in the 1950's and take place mostly in a circus. New cast members for the upcoming season include Kathy Bates, "The Shield" star Michael Chiklis, "The Hunger Games" star Wes Bentley, and "The Americans" star John Carroll Lynch.
Returning to the series for the new season will be regular stars Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters and Frances Conroy.
The season premiere is set for October 15 of this year, so set your calendars!
