Shia LaBeouf Follows His (Handcuffed) Broadway Exit With Rehab (UPDATED)
by Shannon KeirnanAfter making news for all the wrong reasons recently, "Fury" actor Shia LaBeouf has apparently checked himself into rehab.
While his reps are not yet releasing statements or answering questions, X17 Online first reported that LaBeouf was seen leaving his home and checking into a private rehab facility.
X17 stated earlier today:
"We followed the actor from his Hollywood Hills home, just an hour ago, to a private facility where other stars have sought treatment - driven by someone believed to be from the rehab facility. When the car arrived at the gated drive at the center, a nurse an security guard were there to greet Shia. In fact, earlier in the day when we spotted Shia in his driveway, we noticed he was carrying the Alcoholic Anonymous Big Blue Book."
The photographer who followed Shia noted that the "Transformers" actor seemed nervous and "didn't look good all morning."
"He was looking down and wasn't even talking to his driver. It looked like he didn't want to do it, but he knew that he had to."
This follows a weekend of odd behavior on the part of LaBeouf. He was escorted (in handcuffs) out of a Broadway musical after smoking in the theater and grabbing at actors, and subsequently charged with criminal trespass, harassment, and disorderly conduct. He also nearly ended up in a fight outside of a New York strip club. TM has footage of the former child star yelling at and leaping around an unidentified stranger, seemingly trying to stir up trouble.
Will rehab bring the troubled 28-year-old the help he needs?
UPDATE:
Contrary to previous reports, eonline is reporting that Shia is not actually checked into rehab. The Transformers star was spotted out in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon shortly after it was reported he had entered a treatment program.
