Shia LaBeouf Detained by Police, Pulled Out of Broadway Theater in Handcuffs

Just when you think, "Hey, Shia LaBeouf hasn't done anything weird in a while," this happens.

The "Transformers" actor was pulled out of a Broadway theater in handcuffs by police, according to reports materializing through social media. LaBeouf was attending a performance of "Cabaret" in New York City, and was reportedly being so disruptive that he was escorted out after the first act.

Danny Burstein, one of the cast members of the show, posted to his Facebook: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your places call for Act II. Also, to let you know, Shia LaBeouf has just been escorted from the building in handcuffs."

Broadway composer Benj Pasek corroborated the story with his own sighting, reporting it on Twitter: "Just saw Shia LaBeouf in handcuffs in tears surrounded by 6 police officers outside of CABARET the musical. Oh New York, u is a crazy bitch."

Indeed.

According to Good Morning America, sources say that LaBeouf was smoking inside the theater, and generally "being disruptive." There aren't any details as to how LaBeouf was disrupting the show, but given his recent erratic behavior, it's anyone's guess.

The actor is currently in the custody of the NYPD and is being questioned, according to reports.
