'Selfie' Season 1, Episode 2: 'Un-Tag My Heart' Recap
by Shannon KeirnanEliza confuses Henry by "liking" her haters online. He doesn't get the difference between real life and social media.
Observing her flirting with someone at the office, while wearing an outfit that has the women in the break room talking, Henry pulls Eliza aside and tells her she is giving everyone the impression that she is sleeping with that guy.
She is sleeping with Freddy, she says. She explains their "relationship," which Henry points out is basically a booty call.
Eliza denies it, but thinks it over. She asks Freddy if he would want to hang out during the day, but he's not interested. She realizes Henry was correct.
Henry is at the office working late when a few drunk lab workers stumble in and ask if he's going to a party he wasn't invited to. They tell him invites went out on Facebook, which he doesn't have. Finally he decides to make an account, and gets sucked into Facebook until morning.
He tells Eliza to stop fixating on men, when she complains about Freddy, and to get a hobby, so she pushes herself into Brynn's book group, lying about having read the book.
While Henry is on Facebook stalking his ex's, he accidentally tags himself in a photo of one of his old girlfriends breastfeeding her baby. He doesn't know how to undo it. Panicked, he busts in on Eliza's book group, which is not going well anyway as they are realizing she didn't read the book. She fixes it for him and explains to him about notifications.
Henry decides to go speak to his ex, Olivia, and explain what happened. She talks about how he always worked when they were dating, and never had time for her.
Sad Eliza runs into Charmonique at the frozen yogurt place on "cheat day," and decides she should have a cheat day with Freddy too. Unless she gets a sign not to! She runs outside to text him, is hit by a Smartcar, and falls into a manhole. She figures that's a sign.
Henry goes online and sees her posting selfies from her hospital bed, and rushes to see her, where she is beat up but otherwise okay. Freddy comes in, and offers to drive her home - not a booty call, just a friendly visit. Eliza realizes that Henry's advice has been making her more attractive to date.
