'Selfie' Season 1, Episode 11: 'Perestroika' Recap
by Shannon KeirnanWounded by Henry, Eliza takes a note from the girl who ruled her seventh grade, and gives him the cold shoulder. Charmonique tries to mend fences between the two, but Eliza firmly snubs Henry.
At home, her situation is deteriorating. She hasn't paid her bills, and the landlord wants to raise her security deposit along with the month's rent. Eliza's electricity goes out and she is displaced.
During his annual performance review, which Henry always aces, he is shocked that he got a lower score than usual, due to a bad peer review which calls him a "bit of a poop." He's certain it is the vengeful Eliza. He is furious with her.
He goes to HR to demand an answer, and is secretly told it was not Eliza.
Eliza uses her hotel points to have somewhere to stay temorarily, and tries to raise money to pay off her debts. Once she ruins her stay at the hotel, Henry finds her sleeping in his office. Softened some by finding out she did not write the bad review, he looks over her finances for her and offers to help. He gives her the key to his house so she can stay there, and claims he will stay with Julia. He goes to a hotel.
While snooping around his house, Eliza discovers the lie about Julia, as Julia shows up to return some of Henry's things.
Eliza spills the beans when Henry talks about his evaluation, saying that Charlie always calls him "a bit of a poop." Charlie admits he was in a bad mood that day and apologizes for the bad evaulation, rather than put up with Henry's sucking up to him.
Eliza later asks Freddy why he didn't offer to let her stay with him when she was homeless, and he reminds her that she freaks out any time he gets remotely serious. She realizes how deeply Freddy cares for her.
