Selena Gomez Gets '13 Reasons Why' Tattoo

The debut of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why has made waves with audiences with its dramatic take on issues of teen suicide and mental health, but the show also left a more permanent impression — literally — on executive producer Selena Gomez.
On Sunday, the 24-year-old singer and actress got matching tattoos to honor the series’ central character, Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), who takes her own life after recording seven audio cassettes explaining the 13 reasons why she decided to kill herself.
Gomez, along with show costars Alisha Boe and Tommy Dorfman, was inked with a small, black semicolon, a symbol of new beginnings popularized by the suicide prevention and mental health organization Project Semicolon, on her left wrist.
