'We Need To Talk About Kevin' Trailer: An Unsettling School-Shooting Thriller

Today, we've got a creepy trailer for "We Need to Talk about Kevin," an unsettling look at what aftershocks follow a school-shooting rampage.

Tilda Swinton plays the mother of a troubled teen (Ezra Miller) who went on tragic shooting spree in his school. She eventually finds ways she can deal with feeling responsible for her sons actions and her own grief by writing to her son's estranged father, played by John C. Reilly.

Lynne Ramsay wrote and directed the movie. It made the rounds earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival and will also soon appear at September's Toronto International Film Festival. After that, it hits American theaters Dec. 2, 2011, in limited release.

From the looks of the trailer, it has all the makings of a dark-horse indie Oscar contender.
