Saw This One Coming: Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr No Longer 'Gossip Girls'

Vanessa and Little J's days as "Gossip Girl" regulars are numbered.

Even though it was inevitable, it's still hard to say goodbye to two of the Upper East Siders we have grown to love/hate as permanent fixtures on the Manhattan scene.

The character of Jenny played by teen rebel Taylor Momsen has barely been mentioned this season after she was banished from the island by Rufus and, more importantly, by Blair. Jessica Szohr, aka Vanessa, has been spotted creeping around town but her lines are few and far between.

TVLine.com is reporting that while the two troublemakers will not return as regular characters, they have both been invited back on a guest star basis.

Sources do confirm, however, that the "GG" fabulous five will return. Blake Lively (Serena), Chace Crawford (Nate), Ed Westwick (Chuck), Leighton Meester (Blair) and Penn Badgley (Dan) will live to scheme another season.

Season 5 will also feature the addition of Kaylee DeFer (crazy Cousin Charlie) as a show regular.
