Saved for a Season 6, 'Community' May See its Prophesied Movie Come to Fruition as Well

Saved for a Season 6, 'Community' May See its Prophesied Movie Come to Fruition as Well Scrappy "Community" just keeps on keeping on, doesn't it?

With threat of cancellation basically ALWAYS on the table for this show, it has struggled through long-term hiatuses and breaks, and most recently, a near-death experience, but somehow "Community" continues to roll on.

Now, it might be rolling all the way toward a movie.

"Six seasons and a movie" has been the prophesy and war cry of "Community" and fans since early on. Recently, "Community" was kicked to the curb by NBC, and saved at the last moment by Yahoo.

That sixth season was born.

So how's about that movie, now? Actually, strange as it may seem, it does sound like a "Community" movie may just happen.

Sony TV's president of programming and production Zack Van Amburg was optimistic about big-screen chances. When speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, he answered a question about a possible seventh season with this:

"I don't know, let's see how our movie does! Isn't that our plan? There's no way we're not making the movie now!"

Okay so yeah. Definitely sounds like a movie is in the works.

Van Amburg went on to add, "I'd be lying if I told you that we have not had some very early and preliminary conversations that are very exciting about what a potential movie could be and who might direct it."

With the wacky and unpredictable storylines "Community" is known for, it will be interesting to see what sort of plot will bring the loyal Greendale group to the big screen.

More importantly, will it reunite Troy and Abed, in the morning or otherwise? Will Pierce reappear somehow? Will Britta and Jeff settle down in the suburbs with three kids and a Labrador named Civil Liberty? What will happen to the rest of our beloved gang?

What would you like to see in a "Community" movie?
