'Saturday Night Live': Watch Daniel Radcliffe Play Harry Potter Again
by Andy NeuenschwanderWhen "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe hosts "Saturday Night Live," you can bet that he'll be doing a Potter sketch, no matter how badly he might not want to. All you can hope is that it's a good one.
Lucky for Radcliffe, the standout Potter sketch last night had a pretty great premise: Harry Potter, ten years after defeating Voldemort, is now that creepy guy who hangs out at his old school, trying to relive the glory days.
That leads to some awkward moments as Professor McGonagall (played by Kristen Wiig) tries to reason with Harry as he not-so-gently reminds the new students how he wiped evil off the earth, Malfoy reveals that Harry will play quidditch alone and make cheering noises, and Snape (played by Bill Hader) laments sacrificing himself for this loser.
Yes, it sounds like the saddest Harry Potter sketch ever, but it's actually pretty funny. Radcliffe performed pretty well overall, his comedic timing being one of the talents he seems to have strengthened during his time in the Potter series and on Broadway.
