Sandra Bullock Break-In Suspect Charged, Allegedly Stalked Actress and Kept Diary About Her

A suspect has been officially charged in the case of a break-in at the home of Sandra Bullock, and as scary as the crime itself was, it looks like the suspect himself is even scarier.

The break-in happened early Sunday morning while Bullock was at home. According to the police report, a man named Joshua James Corbett climbed the wall to Bullock's residence, causing someone in the home to call 911. Nobody was harmed during the break-in, though Corbett was allegedly in the home for about an hour before police arrived. There's no official word on whether Corbett got as far as to be face-to-face with Bullock.

The official charges against Corbett are "one felony count each of first-degree residential burglary, stalking and possession of a machine gun." Allegedly, Corbett had been stalking Bullock for some time before the break-in, and had even been keeping a personal diary about the "Gravity" actress. Corbett was found going through Bullock's personal belongings when police apprehended him at her home.

As for the count of possession of a machine gun, Corbett apparently illegally owned the weapon, but did not have it with him when he broke into Bullock's home.

Bullock's public profile has increased significantly over the past few years, after winning an Oscar for her role in "The Blind Side." Last year, she was nominated again for "Gravity" and showed off her comedic chops once more in "The Heat."

Bullock had just received the "Decades of Hotness" award at the Guys Choice Awards on Saturday night, a few hours before the break-in occurred. Earlier last week, she appeared at the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony to present to Jane Fonda.
