'Safe Haven' Star Josh Duhamel and Wife Fergie Are Expecting!

“Safe Haven” star Josh Duhamel and his Black Eyed Peas singer wife Fergie are expecting their first child!

Fergie, 37, made the official announcement via Twitter.

“Josh & Me & Baby makes three!!! #mylovelybabybump,” she tweeted. Duhamel copied the update on his own Twitter.

The updates were accompanied by a shopped picture of baby Duhamel and baby Fergie clutching a cat, made to look like the three were sitting together in an image that sparked memories of the Photoshopped baby pictures in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days…”

“Yes, Fergie is pregnant,” her rep announced in a more normal way. “We are pleased to confirm the news.”

The couple was married back in January 2009, and stayed strong together despite early accusations that Duhamel, now 40, had cheated on Fergie with a stripper.

“When you go through difficult times, it really makes you stronger as a unit, as a partnership,” Fergie said of working through the gossip. “We’re stronger today definitely because of anything difficult that’s happened with us.”

The two have always been open about wanting to start a family, but expressed no urgency.

Last year Fergie told Rachael Ray, “We do hope for children and that will be coming up, but it’s not yet.”

She also said “It’s not happening yet, I can tell you definitely. But we want to have a family, so that’s in the cards, but it’s just not this second.”

“We like each other. We like hanging out and we have fun… we have a good time together, and it’s nice to get to have that quality time. We enjoy it.”

She added, “We’ll be happy when it happens. It’s not really in our hands but trying is great for our relationship.”
