Ryan Reynolds Still Reeling From Scarlet Johansson Divorce

Put yourself for a moment in Ryan Reynolds’ shoes. Then tell us you could blame him.

You’re a great-looking, charming guy by either sex’s standards. You’ve made over a decade’s worth of f***-you money starring in both Marvel (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” “Blade: Trinity”) and DC (“Green Lantern”) big-screen adaptations. But topping it all off, you married a beautiful woman that every publication with an opinion about beautiful women that matters ranks among the highest pantheons.

Then less than two years later, you can’t help but throw in the towel and admit that you and she just can’t make it work.

Maybe more pity’s deserved than has been given for the poor handsome rich guy.

Reynolds recently let loose to DigitalSpy.com that his December split with in-demand leading lady – and fellow Marvel alum, having had her own turn as Black Widow in “Iron Man 2” and soon again in 2012’s “The Avengers” – Scarlet Johansson still has him licking his wounds. Though it was Reynolds that first filed the papers, and rumors swirled concerning infidelities and a strained relationship, both surrounding things that may or may not have happened while Reynolds was off filming “Green Lantern” – one would think it was Reynolds that was the dumped.

"At the moment I'm just giving myself time to put everything that has happened behind me and I'm taking things as they come,” Reynolds said. “But I'm going to be ready for a relationship again soon."

Johansson seemed to have taken the divorce in stride, having been romantically linked recently to Sean Penn. Reynolds, however, nixed rumors that he’s become involved with Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron – or anybody else, for that matter.

"Right now I seem to be on a speed-dating mission - at least according to those rumors that are going around at the moment,” Reynolds added. “Even my mom is confused. No man is potent enough to be able to go through as many women as that in such a short amount of time like I allegedly have!"
