Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively Privately Marry Over The Weekend
by Sean ComerRaise a toast - or simply your coffee, if it's a tad early - to newly minted co-star newlyweds Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.
After a year of dating, the pair whose road to the altar seemed to begin while paired for Warner Bros.' 2011 "Green Lantern" quietly tied the knot over the weekend, People.com confirmed.
This comes after many weeks of speculation that the couple had married.
A reportedly private, low-key ceremony Sunday night at Mt. Pleasant, S.C.'s Boone Hall Plantation south of Charleston joined the two in matrimony. "Gossip Girl" star Lively was treated to three songs performed at the ceremony by good friend Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. Guests were also treated to a live DJ spinning tunes for guests and a cake allegedly driven down to the event from Virginia.
The pair have been notoriously quiet about their relationship, with Reynolds even calling Bedford, N.Y. police to the home that the couple shares when he felt a photographer was making himself too at-home near their property. Neither star's publicist commented to People on the pair's nuptials.
For Lively, it's her first marriage. Previously, she dated "Gossip Girl" co-star Penn Badgley.
It's Reynolds' second try at husband-and-wife. After ending an engagement to singer and fellow Canadian Alanis Morrissette, Reynolds married "The Avengers" actress Scarlett Johansson. The pair divorced in 2010, and Reynolds started dating Lively not long after.
