Ryan Gosling Debuts As Director

Because Ryan Gosling just wasn’t hot enough.

The gorgeous, mutter-y “Drive” actor is now branching out from being just a beautiful, talented actor and kind soul, and making his directorial debut.

The film, set to begin shooting in spring, is described as a “fantasy noir” flick and is entitled “How to Catch a Monster.” And, hang on to your panties, because not only with Gosling be directing—he wrote it.

It will star “Mad Men’s” well-endowed (with talent) Christina Hendricks as Billy, “a single mother of two who lives in a surreal, vanishing city and whose teenage son discovers a secret road leading to a mysterious underwater town.”

It is described as a “modern fairy tale.”

“We are thrilled to be producing Ryan Gosling’s debut as a writer and director and continue our collaboration which began on ‘Drive’,” said producer Marc Platt. “He has composed a beautifully haunting script and has a very clear vision of how he will bring it to life. His ability to draw audiences into his world as an actor will serve him well as a filmmaker.”

No other casting has been announced, and unfortunately there is no word yet whether or not Gosling plans to take a role in the flick.

But my ovaries just skipped a beat with anticipation at this news. If Gosling turns out to be a talented writer and director, we simple ladies don’t stand a chance.

Alas, if his movie stinks, can we red-blooded American women still secretly tape pictures of him to our bedroom doors?

Yeah totally. He’s still hot.
