Is Ryan Gosling About to Become a Daddy?

The tenth anniversary of "The Notebook" has come and gone. Did you celebrate by popping the DVD in, grabbing some Kleenex, and closing your eyes, so it was like Ryan Gosling spoke directly to you when he said, "If you're a bird, I'm a bird?"

No? Maybe? Just me?

Well hopefully you kept that box of tissues handy, because here's some news you may  have been dreading since "The Notebook" hit theaters: Ryan Gosling is rumored to be expecting a solemn, sensitive baby with his girflfriend of three years, Eva Mendes.

What's more, you won't even have a proper length of time to mentally and emotionally prepare yourself for this littleun's arrival - Mendes,40, is reportedly already seven months along, and has been keeping out of the spotlight to hide that bump since March.

Mendes and Gosling, 33, have been dating since 2011,  and have starred together (as parents) in "The Place Beyond the Pines." No reps for either party are yet confirming the news, but a source says the two are delighted to be expecting a (no doubt crazy gorgeous) new arrival.

"She's been ready for motherhood for a while now," the friend of Mendes says. "To be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her!"

That's a contrast to 2011, when Mendes said of motherhood, "I fluctuate between not giving it any thought and wanting to leave it up to whoever's running the show, then giving it a lot of thought. I have to be honest, I don't feel the urge yet. Maybe I'll do it when I'm 41 or something... I don't feel the ticking clock... I feel I have time. I'll just be patient."

Well, three years on-and-off-again with Ryan Gosling could change anyone's attitude. The source adds that, while Gosling would be content to keep things as they are, Mendes is proving more traditional, and is pressing for marraige.

Of course she is.

Congratulations to the two, I guess. Whatever.
