Rumor: 'The Bachelorette' Has Had Some Plastic Surgery Done
by Sean ComerHas it been just nature and pregnancy that have been good to Emily Maynard, or does ABC's "The Bachelorette" also owe a deft plastic surgeon or two?
That's what Us Weekly wondered enough to do a little digging. A new Us Weekly articles claims that "sources" say the blonde single-mom to an eight-year-old had plastic surgery in 2010 that included a nose job, breast implants and veneers touching up her Chicklets.
If she had work done, at least one source indicates she has a valid reason: she became self-conscious after a bout with Bell's palsy, a nerve disorder that causes temporary paralysis and sagging (sometimes permanent, to a degree) on one side of the face. In rare instances, it can affect both sides. Many afflicted patients recover through combinations of minor therapies, medications and sometimes just reducing stress.
It's never exactly been known to affect the breasts, nose or teeth.
One source told Us Weekly, "her expressions seem almost kind of frozen. It looks like Botox."
A commenter on a Hollywood Gossip story addressing the same topic claims to confirm that Maynard had her breasts done, but doesn't hold it against her for a moment. Nothing cosmetic has changed what makes Maynard a catch, the source claimed.
"Emily was my roommate freshman year of high school," the commenter wrote. "She is a sweet, down-to-Earth girl who deserves nothing but the best. She has gotten a breast augmentation but would never pose in Playboy - her daughter is her life and she would never do anything that would hurt that little girl."
A source also reportedly told Us that she had the alleged augmentation shortly before meeting ex-fiancé Brad Womack on "The Bachelor."
