'Rules of Engagement': Season 7, Episode 11: 'Timmy Quits' Recap

Adam is trying to fit 32 sugar cubes in his mouth at the diner. Jennifer tells him the boathouse they wanted for the wedding has become available. She just has to call Heidi back to confirm.

Audrey wonders if it is “Heidi-ho,” a girl they went to college with who had a crush on Jeff. Audrey swears she and Jeff had a fling before he dated her, but he insists it never happened.

Timmy is 7 minutes late with Russell’s lunch… Russell asks if he stopped somewhere. Timmy says he did not, but Russell hints he knows that Tim stopped at the vintage book store. No more lies.

At the diner, Jeff discusses the Heidi issue. He says he never slept with her, though Russell thinks if Audrey thinks he did, he might as well. Adam says he’s deciding between the two for Best Man… and they try to get the other to take the role.

Adam has a list of questions to help decide.

At home, Audrey is happy because she looked up Heidi on Facebook. She found a picture of them in college, Jeff shirtless, Heidi on his lap in said missing shirt.

Russell finds Timmy getting fitted for a suit. Timmy asks if Russell has installed a tracker on his phone… Russell thinks that would have been easier.

He says when he made everyone get a mandatory flu shot at work, he implanted a tracking chip in Timmy.

“Timmy, don’t leave. I’ll know where you’re going.”

Jennifer asks Adam how things went with the boys. She suggests he just pick the one who has been there for him… which he twists into the one who would save him, and plans to put his life in danger and see who saves him.

Heidi visits Audrey and Jeff, with an invite from Jeff. He wants Heidi to tell Audrey the “nature” of their college relationship. She says they were friends. Heidi realizes Audrey thinks that she and Jeff had something going on, and insists they never did anything.

“And that’s not from Facebook. That’s from her actual face.”

Heidi says he wasn’t her type.

Adam calls Jeff. He says that he was climbing his favorite rock in Central Park and got stuck. He needs help. Russell sees Adam’s call and ignores it.

Timmy comes in. He has had the chip removed. He gives Timmy his letter of resignation.

Audrey is pleased with the news. Jeff walks Heidi out, and Heidi says she thinks Audrey bought it. She did have a crush on Jeff in college; she just lied because Audrey was clearly bothered by something.

Back inside Audrey feels dumb.

“She’s actually really pretty. She’s way out of your league.”

Miffed, Jeff tells Audrey Heidi hit on him. He calls Heidi and asks her to come back and tell the truth but she thinks he's being weird.

Jennifer goes to the diner and tells Jeff and Russell that Adam didn’t come home last night—both his friends failed him. Adam comes in, cold from being in the park all night. He is sure they both didn’t show because they were trying to teach him to take care of himself.

Jeff suggest they just be co-Best Men.

At work, Timmy is packing up his desk. Russell offers him a promotion and his own office, which Tim turns down. Russell admits he couldn’t get a hold of Tim a few weeks back, and panicked, not sure what he would do without him.
