TV Preview: Rosewood Helps to Make Miami Safe

With the contraction of the CSI universe, it might seem as if times are tight in the forensic investigation industry, but a new series shows there's still work to be found if you have the right business model.

The series follows Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, a private forensic pathologist who is at the top of his field in Miami. His skill at finding crime-solving clues in the bodies of murder victims keeps him busy as law enforcement agencies call upon his services regularly.

Dramatic tension when Rosewood's upbeat, generally positive personality clashes with the more pessimistic outlook of Detective Annalise Villa, with whom Rosewood frequently works on cases.

The series stars Morris Chestnut, who is currently enjoying success at the box office in The Perfect Guy, as Rosewood and Jaina Lee Ortiz as Detective Villa. Lorraine Toussaint of Orange is the New Black appears as Rosewood's mother, and Gabrielle Dennis plays Rosewood's sister, Pippy, who helps him out in his practice.

Rosewood premieres on September 23 on Fox.
