Roots Secretly Diss Michelle Bachmann on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'

Roots Secretly Diss Michelle Bachmann on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' Jimmy Fallon may have played a rather gracious host to GOP candidate Michelle Bachmann last night, but his house band, The Roots, were a bit less welcoming.

The Roots tends to choose snippets of specific songs in order to introduce big guests on the show, and last night was no exception: the band chose a short selection from a 1985 Fishbone song titled "Lyin' Ass Bitch."

Of course, those lyrics weren't sung in the snippet... rather, The Roots just played a couple of seconds of the intro to the song, which consists of only some "la la la" repetitions. If Bachmann noticed the song playing, she didn't react at all, as the interview went fairly smoothly.

"Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" had no comment, and neither did Bachmann, but Fallon took to twitter and said that Roots bandleader Questlove was "grounded."

This isn't the first time Roots has picked on a conservative guest, either: when Fox News pundit Lou Dobbs came on the show, the band played a bit of "Illegal Alien" by Genesis in reference to Dobbs' outspoken views on the hot-button issue.

To make things even better, Glenn Beck covered the issue on his radio show and was, of course, appalled. APPALLED.
