Ron Howard to Direct 'Han Solo' Movie

Ron Howard is coming to the rescue of “Star Wars: Han Solo.”
The beloved movie maestro has agreed to direct the unnamed Han Solo flick, just days after the stunning termination of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, The Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.
Lord and Miller had been fighting veteran screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, before Lucasfilm and Disney backed him over the directors.
The Oscar-winner Howard is expected to meet shortly with stars Danny Glover, Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke and Thandie Newton to smooth over the sudden change in direction.
