Rocker Rebound: Ashlee Simpson Seen Getting Friendly With Musician Craig Owens, Pete Wentz is Pissed

Every girl has a "type" right?

We can safely say that Ashlee Simpson loves herself a grungy rocker!

Newly separated Simpson was seen out and about in L.A. with musician Craig Owens recently.

You may remember we reported just weeks ago that Simpson had filed for divorce from Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz. The couple are going their separate ways, citing irreconcilable differences.

Wondering where Simpson and Owens met? Ironically enough, Owens is signed to Wentz's music label Decaydance and is also a pal of the Simpson ex.

Owens is a member of the band D.R.U.G.S. - Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows - a group he formed last summer. The frontman was also part of the punk band Chidios until they dismissed him in 2009.

Now, E News! has obtained photos of the pair shopping with Owens' arm around Simpson's waist. There were even smooches exchanged.

Might a romance have been brewing between Simpson and Owens before her split was official?

One thing is for sure, the Simpson sisters have not always been lucky in love. Back in 2005 Jessica Simpson, older sister of Ashlee, divorced her sweetheart Nick Lachey. The older Simpson is currently engaged to NFL free agent Eric Johnson, having seriously dated another footballer (Tony Romo) in between.
