Robert Pattinson Will Star in Futuristic Western 'The Rover'

Well, it was a good and bad day for Robert Pattinson.

On the downside, news broke early this morning that Pattinson's girlfriend and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" co-star Kristen Stewart cheated on him with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders. Yeah, Kristen strayed from Rob with a guy named Rupert. Who is married with kids.

So, obviously that wasn't great.

But, here's the good news: Pattinson's newest role has been greenlit! Pattison will be playing the lead in Australian film "The Rover," which is a futuristic sci-fi movie with a western style. It sounds pretty action-packed, and it comes from the writer of the critically acclaimed "Animal Kingdom."

So chin up, Rob. Things aren't so bad, are they?
