Rihanna Rumored For Sixth 'Fast And Furious' Cast

There are certainly worse next acting steps Rihanna could take than taking a big part in a revived franchise.

Fresh off making her first major movie bow in May 18's "Battleship", the "We Found Love" singer is rumored cast in the soon-filming sixth "Fast And Furious" chapter as a villain.

According to The (U.K.) Sun and The Huffington Post, Rihanna will start filming her lady antagonist character "with plenty of bite" soon in London alongside returning stars Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in London this May.

RiRi hasn't confirmed anything yet, so it's technically still rumor. But it wouldn't be the first time the series has enlisted a big recording name. The 2001 franchise debut boasted Ja Rule in a cameo racing against Walker's undercover cop. In 2003, "2 Fast 2 Furious" featured a brief appearance by Ludacris as a former street racer that befriends Walker's character, and 2009's 20-minute "Fast Five" prelude short film  "Los Bandoleros" features rappers Tego Calderón and Don Omar as a couple outlaw amigos to Diesel's Dominic Toretto in the Dominican Republic.

The sixth film will have a big legacy to meet. "Fast Five" made $626 million in 2011, making it the franchise's biggest outing to date, and also one of the most successful IMAX releases in the format's history.
