Rihanna Is Back on Instagram After Nipple-Induced Fallout

Rihanna Is Back on Instagram After Nipple-Induced Fallout Rihanna is, in her own words, "back, bitche$$$$$."

The pop star has returned to Instagram after many months away, having given up the image-sharing site after a disagreement over their terms and conditions.

As the story goes, Rihanna posted a pic from her photoshoot with French magazine Lui, in which she was topless and baring a nipple. Instagram is notoriously strict in its no-nipple policy (for women, at least), and took the photo down.

Rihanna had had more than one instance of butting heads with Instagram, as her photos often have her in some state of undress. This one seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back, and Rihanna deleted her account.

Whatever bad blood Rihanna had with the site seems to be gone now, though, as the singer has reactived her account and started posting her first photos since deactivating in May.

Her first photo is a grainy, close-up selfie with the poetic caption "Hellurrr #badgalback." That was followed by a couple of stick-figure drawings of RiRi with cartoon representations of Instagram and Vevo.

Rihanna's rejoining comes just days after Chelsea Handler quit the site for a similar reason as Rihanna did; the comedienne posted a photo of herself topless and riding a horse in a jokey comparison to Vladimir Putin, then got into it with Instagram after the site pulled her photo three times. Handler has quit the site and started hosting all her photos on Twitter.
