Revealed: Who Definitely Did NOT Buy Kim Kardashian's Sex Tape

Revealed: Who Definitely Did NOT Buy Kim Kardashian's Sex Tape OK, here's what we definitely know: someone is close to buying the Kim Kardashian-Ray J sex-tape from legal owner and Vivid Entertainment head Steve Hirsch.

Hirsch told TMZ recently that he can't publicly out the mystery buyer, because the porn purveyor himself has no idea just exactly who wants the tape. He only knows that the buyer's legal representative go-between insists this: his client is not Kardashian herself.

"It made sense the entire time it would be Kim," Hirsch told TMZ, apparently taking the go-between at his or her word. "But it appears it's not."

The buyer will apparently keep himself/herself anonymous until the buyer strikes a deal with Hirsch. The Vivid Entertainment chief wants a reported $30 million before he'll part ways with the video. Once the buyer and Hirsch strike a final deal, the buyer has also claimed that he or she will publicly explain why he or she is going to such lengths to get the video off the market.

He or she is reportedly coming up several million dollars under Hirsch's asking price.

Kardashian reportedly considers the person's negotiating to get the tape with the stated goal of getting of OFF the market a huge favor, and is curious herself why an alleged stranger is going so far out of his or her way on her behalf.

Kardashian herself sued for ownership of the tape after Vivid's Feb. 21, 2007 release of "Kim Kardashian: Superstar." Vivid bought the rights to the tape for $1 million originally and paid Kardashian a $5-million settlement to drop the suit and grant the porn publisher ownership.

Had it not been for the tape's leak, E! Entertainment Television would've probably never had any interest in concocting the celebrity equivalent to herpes known as "Keeping Up with The Kardashians."

So with that fact in mind, Steve Hirsch, a friend of mine would like a word with you . . .
