Reporter Fail: Fox News Announces Death of President Obama (VIDEO) It can be tough for news teams to react when an unexpected announcement like last night's presidential address about the death of Osama Bin Laden happens. Even for those who are trained to speak on live television can flub a sentence or two when talking for a few hours straight.

But it's generally not a good idea to accidentally announce the death of the President of the United States.

That's what happened to a Fox News affiliate reporter last night after President Obama's speech to the nation. As the president finished his speech, the reporter took over: "President Obama speaking from the East Room of the White House, telling the nation and the world, President Obama is, in fact, dead..."

That flub causes his co-anchor to look at him, then lean in and whisper "Osama." At least someone in the room had her head on straight!

The Fox Fail didn't stop there, either: a ticker then appeared at the bottom of the screen, reading "Reports: Obama Bin Laden Dead." Considering the "b" and "s" keys aren't anywhere near each other on a keyboard, you can't chalk that one up to a slip of the finger.

I guess the similarity in the names is why FoxNews.com tends to go with the "Usama" spelling. Maybe this affiliate should have stuck with that too!
