How Real is 'Real Housewives'? New York Cast Gets Grilled, While Miami Women Go Live

How Real is 'Real Housewives'? New York Cast Gets Grilled, While Miami Women Go Live Just how real is the “Real Housewives of New York City” – or any city series for that matter?

It’s a good question, and one that Joy Behar slammed on the women from the Big Apple after the spoke about conflicts that were “drama for the show.”

“So you’re saying that things are faked?” Behar asked during their appearance on “The View.”

The women tried to move on to another topic, until Kelly Bensimon addressed her “crazy” label.

"I make great television and Bethenny and I create better television, so I mean that's what it is," she said.

Behar tried again.

“Is it about the TV or is it real?” she wants to know.

While, the women of NYC don’t have a “real” answer for Behar, last night Andy Cohen and “The Real Housewives of Miami” may have been trying to counter the hype that Bravo heavily edits the shows to get better ratings and storylines.

The Miami cast got back together for the first-ever live reunion show, perhaps it was a move to also prove they weren’t as snooze-worthy as ratings revealed.
