Facing Bankruptcy and Divorce, 'Real Housewives of New York' Star Sonja Morgan Sings the Karma Blues

Facing Bankruptcy and Divorce, 'Real Housewives of New York' Star Sonja Morgan Sings the Karma Blues "Real Housewives of New York" star Sonja Morgan is a public advocate for karma.

“What goes around comes around, and the universe always gives back,” Morgan, 47, told Naughty But Nice. “And I'm such a giver.”

Morgan, who was referring to a movie investment gone south, is facing eviction from her $6 million mansion in Manhattan amid a bitter divorce from 80-year-old John Adams Morgan.

As the Daily Mail reports, Morgan’s most recent challenges follow last month’s bankruptcy announcement of $19 million.

The mother of one says her husband lives on a $19 million private island off Connecticut, and claims that she is barred from visiting homes they co-own.

Adams Morgan, a descendant of famed financier J.P. Morgan and former US President John Adams, is appealing previous court rulings and refusing to pay $3 million sum in previous judgment. According to court papers, Morgan is also late in alimony by $300,000.

Lawyers for Adams Morgan say the divorce settlement exceeded the terms of the pre and postnuptial agreements.

While Sonja’s life sits in limbo, the spicy socialite says she has been “heart broken” but is determined to be the next Bethenny Frankel starting with a toaster oven deal.

"I'll be like Bethenny. I'll do the deals first, then the baby, then get married," Sonja told Naughty But Nice. "Bethenny is funny as hell…She's one smart cookie, and I'm following right behind her."

Sonja also revealed she is going to focus on what people need, rather than dishing out more drama.

"That's the reason to go on one of these shows, it's to show your tips and secrets, and to share your experiences that you have,” Morgan explained. “I feel like I have lots of lifestyle tips to give, lots of beauty tips to give, lots of family secrets to share, and that's the reason to be on a show. NOT to bicker and fight.”

As Naughty But Nice notes, Morgan will have to sell a whole lot of toaster ovens to keep that Manhattan town house.
