Rapper Young Buck's Girlfriend Grazed In Drive-By

Rapper Young Buck's Girlfriend Grazed In Drive-By None of the 11 shots fired early Sunday morning in Nashville struck rapper Young Buck in his SUV, but one injured a female companion, reports Nashville TV station WSMV.

Police say that a white Chevrolet Tahoe drove past the rapper's vehicle around 3:30 A.M. and struck it 11 time. One shot grazed the shoulder of Kenyetta Rainey, who was treated and later released from Vanderbilt Hospital. A third passenger escaped without injury.

Young Buck (real name: David Brown) and Rainey argued heatedly with others at south Nashville night club La Bamba shortly before the shooting broke out. The other people with whom the couple argued left the club around the same time as Brown and Rainey, police said.

Brown, a Nashville native and former member of fellow rapper 50 Cent's G-Unit crew and southern label Cash Money Records before that, told officers he was back in town at work on a music project. He'd reportedly held a cookout for fans during a Saturday afternoon music video shoot along Ashland City Highway, according to his Facebook and Twitter accounts. His management hasn't yet returned WSMV's request for comment on the incident.

In December 2005, Brown avoided jury trial with a plea deal after video evidence connected him with a backstage stabbing at the 2004 VIBE Awards and led to an arrest warrant being issued by the Santa Monica (Ca.) Police Department. In 2011, he pleaded not guilty to felony gun possession charges when federal agents found a pistol and ammunition in his home.
