Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum Take 'The Vow' in First Trailer (Watch it Here!)

It's really too bad that some premises have been declared eternally cliche and schmaltzy, because it's not like there isn't good drama to be found in the story of a woman losing her memory and her husband trying to win her back. I mean, imagine the confusion of waking up one day and being told you're married but having no memory of the life you've built with that person.

And the worst part is that "The Vow," starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum, is based on a true story, so not only is this not the most contrived thing ever, it actually happened. Stranger than fiction and all that.

Well, I'm more than willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, largely because McAdams always ends up being good in everything she's in, and again...I do hope that someone can get this premise right. The inherent drama is too strong for someone not to. Now it's on you, film, to get it right.
