Quentin Tarantino and 'True Blood' Creator Alan Ball Settle Over Squawking Birds

Quentin Tarantino and 'True Blood' Creator Alan Ball Settle Over Squawking Birds Some of you might remember a while back when we reported that Quentin Tarantino, writer/director of such instant classics as "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill," was suing "True Blood" creator Alan Ball over a bunch of squawking birds in Ball's back yard. Tarantino, who lives next door to Ball, claimed that he was unable to work at home on his writing because of the incessant screeching coming from Ball's Macaw parrots.

Yes, this was actually a thing that happened.

Now it seems that the lawsuit has disappeared. Two weeks ago, the case was dismissed as the summons was never served, according to THR.

That means that the matter must have been settled out of court, or else Tarantino just gave up on the matter. Ball was supposed to have a sound-proof area built for the birds, so perhaps that happened and Tarantino can now write in peace. Or, maybe Tarantino just bought some good ear plugs.

In any case, what was looking to be one of the more ridiculous and entertaining court cases of the year turned out to be a dud. Oh well. Here's a video of two Macaws making noises instead:
