Punisher, Elektra Ready to Go in Daredevil Season 2

In the first season of Marvel's Daredevil on Netflix, it took several episodes before viewers even had an idea of who the season's central villain was going to be. That's not going to be the case in season 2, according to new showrunners Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie. Loose-cannon vigilante The Punisher is Matt Murdock's biggest concern this season, and he enters the story with much less subtlety than Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, did last season.
In an interview with TV Guide, Ramirez and Petrie explained the nature of Frank Castle, The Punisher's real identity.
"Frank walks up to you, puts a gun to your head and pulls the trigger," said Petrie.
That means The Punisher is going to come into Murdock's life much more explosively, and the new season will dispense with the dramatic build-up that was used to introduce Fisk last season. The same is true for the introduction of Elektra, Murdock's sometimes problematic love interest. Elektra is herself an unpredictable assassin, and she will shake up Murdock's life in a decidedly unsubtle way.
Season 2 of Daredevil debuts on Netflix on Friday, March 18, when all 13 episodes of the new season will be available for streaming.
