Promoter Offers $1 Million For a Drake-Chris Brown Fight
by Sean ComerHm. Of all the people that could hammer Chris Brown's mug into hamburger, Drake wouldn't have been my first choice. He wouldn't have been my second. I don't think he'd crack the top 10.
That being said, far be it for me to grouse about anybody separating him from his senses.
Celebrity Boxing promoter Damon Feldman has come forward and given a throw-down between the two hip-hop names some intriguing incentive, reports The New York Daily News. He's laying out a reported $1 million for the two to finish their recent nightclub scuffle in his ring.
"Obviously they have a grudge," Feldman said. "It's just three one-minute rounds. No one will get seriously hurt." Well, admittedly, that last caveat wounds my interest. Still, Feldman claims he could throw together a pay-per-view event set in Las Vegas or Los Angeles to take place as early as Aug. 25. He added that soda-bottling mogul Alki David has offered to foot the event's bill and lay out an additional $1 million to charity.
"I would love to get Rihanna as the ring girl," Feldman quipped.
A Brown representative claims the Grammy-winner has "never heard" the offer.
Police investigated both artists after a June 14 brawl inside New York City nightclub W.i.P. that injured eight people, including San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker. The fight allegedly began when Drake - who dated Rihanna, but unlike Brown, didn't mistake the front seat of an SUV for a boxing ring - taunted Brown about the pair's past. Brown busted up his chin, while Parker sustained an eye injury that required surgery and may keep him from his native France's London-bound Summer Olympics squad.
