Episode 'Pretty Little Liars' Season 1, Episode 22 - 'For Whom the Bells Toll' Recap

Episode 'Pretty Little Liars' Season 1, Episode 22 - 'For Whom the Bells Toll' Recap Pornography, bell-tower murders, and continuing conspiracies, oh my! Our Little Liars do not disappoint in this grand finale.

We open on the girls sitting around Emily’s bedroom having figured out via the jump drive video Alison left behind that someone has been spying on them (and Jenna) in their bedrooms and recording it for years. They are rightfully collectively grossed out.

Despite all the lingering tension from the time the Little Liars accidentally blinded Jenna for life, they reach out to her in order to confirm that creepy Ian was taping all the young neighborhood girls and cultivating quite the alarming stash of locally grown peeping Tom porn.

Using an anonymous cell phone, our girls text Ian and offer to trade the naughty videos for $10,000.

The girls nervously wait for night to fall so they can lure this underage-girl-loving/murdering grown-ass-man into their cleverly woven teenage girl web of justice.

Ian sends a patsy to pick up the cash, foiling their Scooby Doo sting operation.

Meanwhile, Spencer gets a call from her sister begging for a ride home since Ian ditched her at the church. Being blackmailed and entrapped by avenging teenager can be distracting. On their way home, Melissa and Spencer get t-boned by a mysterious vehicle. Both girls are okay but the demon spawn is in danger.

Spencer goes back to the church to get Melissa’s lost phone so she can find out where her babbydaddy is. Turns out he’s at church trying to murder the hell out of Spencer.

Things get pretty hectic, and it looks like Spencer’s done for when she gets a last minute assist from a hooded figure who throws Ian down the bell tower shaft and then promptly disappears. His body lands on the actual bell and it rings throughout Rosewood. Show, don’t you ever change, I mean it!

However, when the cops show up, there is no body in sight and they are pissed. The girls walk out of the church, surrounded by flashing lights and gossiping townsfolk. Everyone is whispering and staring and calling them liars when they get one final text from A. “It’s not over till I say it is. Sleep tight while you still can, bitches!”

See you on June 14th for the premiere of the second season . . .
