Season 1 Episode 9 - "The Perfect Storm"

The night before the SATs the girls meet to study. However no one can get a hold of Emily. The next morning there's a huge storm and the girls head off to school for the test. Emily shows up at home covered in mud and drenched from head to toe.

Aria sees her mom for the first time since she moved out because her mom is proctoring the test. Everyone must wait for a while because of the storm so they sit around in the library. Emily gets a text from "A' which sends her on a hunt for a particular book in the library so she finds it and inside is a love letter she had written to Alison the previous summer.

While everyone waits the police detective working on Alison's case comes in to inform them Alison's memorial has been trashed. He takes the girls individually and asks them more questions. One of the moms come in just as Emily confesses to being there at the memorial after it was trashed and taking a piece to alway remember Alison by because they had a sexual relationship no one ever knew about. She doesn't tell the detective about the relationship just taking the piece from the memorial. The mom halts the detective and suggests he be removed for questioning the girls in such a manner.

Everyone is shaken and confused by the day and the messages from "A." They really don't know what to do or who to trust. They even start to question one another for a moment.
