Season 1 Episode 3 - "To Kill A Mocking Girl"

Frustrated by her critical family, Spencer steals her sister's old school paper and turns it in as her own. Hanna is tired of being the old Hanna and wants her boyfriend to accept that she has changed. She wants to break his religious ways and lose her virginity to him. He doesn't want to and when he denies her advances at a party she steals his car and crashes it.

Meanwhile Aria is confronted with her father's mistress and deals with the emotions pulling at her since she's had to keep it a secret from her mom for over a year at her father's request. Emily and her new neighbor girlfriend kiss in a photobooth at a party making Emily question who she is and what she wants.

Toby also returns and it makes the girls wonder if "A" is really Jenna trying to get revenge on them for what they did to her by accident. They meet up in a old shed where they used to play as young girls and find the bracelet Alison was wearing the night she disappeared.

This leads to many different ideas of what happened and who might be responsible. But more than anything it makes the girls keep their eyes open because now they really have no idea who is watching them and what that person wants.

This episode bumps up the drama and starts to give us an insight into what Alison was really like and why they were all friends. They all needed someone to make them feel special and that's exactly what Alison did. But there was also a bad side....a dark side of Alison.
