Episode 'Pretty Little Liars' Season 1, Episode 19 - 'A Person of Interest' Recap

We pick up right where we left off in the interrogation room at Rosewood PD.  The Pretty Little Liars are lying when they ought to be truthing, again.

They maintain that Spencer’s creepy brother-in-law Ian is Allison’s killer, even though the murder weapon they turned in was a fake, planted by that pithy omnipotent b#@ch, A.

Spencer spills the statutorily rapey beans on Allison’s affair with Ian, telling the cops he’s into younger girls. When asked how she knows this, Spencer omits her sordid past with Ian.  The other Little Liars make bug-eyed “innocent” faces while backing her story that Allison was the only 15-year-old girl Ian ever pursued.

Blind Jenna swans about nefariously, workshopping incriminating short stories with Mr. Fitz, and generally f%&king with Aria’s head.

Emily continues to kick ass at life.  More on her storyline in a separate post.

Hannah awesomely cashes in her v-card with foxy Caleb.  Kudos to the writers for their smart, sweet, and empowering treatment of Hannah’s decision.  Too bad it looks like Caleb may be in A’s pocket after all.

Spencer Nancy Drews around town with Toby, hoping to score some more viable evidence against Ian.  Their motel stakeout is a bust but we do get a peek at shirtless Toby.  Boo Radley is ripped y’all!  Spencer is no fool and kisses him back but good when he finally lays one on her the next morning.

Too bad the good times don’t last long for our girl.  When she gets home, Ian has told the cops about his affair with Spencer, and her sister Melissa claims that she was the one in Hilton Head with Ian last summer.  Getting an abortion at a posh golf resort, like you do.

This makes Spencer look like the lyingist liar there is and now she’s headed back to the Rosewood pokey as a person of interest in Allison’s murder.
