Prepare For Steve Carell's 'Emotional' Final Episode of 'The Office'

Prepare For Steve Carell's 'Emotional' Final Episode of 'The Office' Stock up on tissues, because you might be needing them when April 28th rolls around. That's the air date of Steve Carell's final episode on "The Office," and if the experience the cast and crew had shooting it is any indication, it's bound to be pretty emotional.

“We were exhausted by the end of that week," said Feig at PaleyFest. "You thought you’d stop being sad or stop emotional, but every scene was, ‘Oh, we just did the last conference room’ or ‘Oh, we just did the last talking head.’ So it was pretty wild.”

Meanwhile, comedy big-shot Will Ferrell is set to step in as Carell's replacement for the last few episodes of the season. As it turns out, the producers of the show didn't have to do too much begging to get Ferrell on...in fact, he volunteered!

"He’s such a fan of the show, and he knew we would be in a tight spot, and he wanted to help relieve the tension in a way," said John Krasinski, who plays Jim Halpert. "So he called our producers and asked if they could ever use him to step in."

Of course they obliged. Having his old "Anchorman" buddy on set with him must have made the whole experience just a bit easier for Carell, and we will certainly benefit too!
